Look no further for a nice floor lamp. We got two of these today for our bedroom. We love them!

Rancho San Antonio

I went for a hike in one of my most favorite regional parks of the Bay Area. It was a hot day and therefore it was quite in the park. The park is popular for local runners. On a weekend you have to get to the park way before the gates open to get a parking spot.

Eileen McDargh

I took the opportunity to attend a speech by Eileen McDargh. OWL (Oracle Women’s Leadership) is a program which aims to create opportunities that support, educate and empower the current and future generations of women leaders at Oracle. Eileen was invited to give the closing keynote at the annual HQ event. She talked about how to stay resilient in this changing and troubling time. If you ever get the chance to see her talk life – take it! Eileen is funny and engages everybody in the audience. I especially resonated with her passion for hiking mountains -:). After the talk I went home to order ‘Gifts from the mountain‘ . The book is a gem with the inspiring text and the beautiful watercolor paintings.

Playa Vista

We spent a relaxing weekend in the Santa Monica area. We visited Rene’s brother and his wife in Playa Vista.

Nationalfeiertag

The world’s biggest Swiss flag was placed at the Saentis. The flag is 120m x 120m – the size of two soccer fields.
